Breeze Plus | TD (Transportation Disadvantaged Plan)
The Breeze Plus TD program serves individuals who do not have a reliable transportation source or the funds to secure one. The program also requires riders to meet at least one of these criteria:
- Qualified under the Breeze Plus ADA program,
- Aged 65 or older, or
- Financially burdened (household income of <150% of the federal poverty level).
Breeze Plus TD service hours are Monday through Saturday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
NOTE: Individuals who are approved for TD service and are traveling within a Breeze OnDemand zone, have the option to pre-book a Breeze OnDemand ride up to 7 days in advance. OnDemand TD fare is $1.50, whether a ride was pre-booked or booked at the time of the trip. Hours of OnDemand operation are Monday thru Saturday 5 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Sunday 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Plan:
The Breeze Plus TD service area includes all of Sarasota County. Trips will be prioritized by their purpose in this order:
- Critical care
- Other medical purpose
- Employment (not available on Saturdays)
- Education (not available on Saturdays)
- Other (not available on Saturdays)
Customers who have been approved through the application process may call 941-777-6000 to reserve a ride.
- Reservations must be made no later than the day prior to a ride.
- Reservations can be made as early as 14 days prior to a ride.
- Reservations are accepted every day of the week between 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Pay:
Each one-way trip is $3. The driver will accept exact cash or a ticket.* Tickets can be purchased through the MTM office at 1800 N East Ave., Suite 103, Sarasota.
- Personal Care Attendants may accompany Breeze Plus passengers at no charge.
- Guests may accompany Breeze Plus passengers for $3 fare.
*Tickets will not be accepted after March 31, 2026. Prior to that date, tickets may be exchanged for ride credit at Breeze Administration (5303 Pinkney Avenue, Sarasota).
Ride:
Monitor the pickup location during the 30-minute pickup window. The driver will wait a maximum of 5 minutes for the rider to board. Other passengers may be picked up or dropped off during each trip.
At the rider’s request, drivers may assist with:
- Entering or exiting the vehicle.
- Fastening seat belts.
- Loading or unloading light cargo.
- Balance support from the door of the pickup address to the vehicle.
